The stability of the box is provided by a high quality anodized aluminium profile, coupled with front and side panels made of industrial plastic with black micro-finished surface.
The mounting surface is a 0.1″, 2.54 mm hole punched plastic receiver plate standard in the electronics industry. The screws supplied with the box can be directly inserted into the receiver plate, and if required, Arduino or Arduino clone components can be securely mounted using the supplied 2 mm height spacers.
Once secured, wiring and programming tasks can be carried out.
The mounting surface is reusable, as are the screws and spacer washers.
The Preboxi box can also be used to mount a battery, battery pack, or to make interfering feedthroughs on the cover.
An advantage of the mounting box is the 3×15 pin communication socket prepared on both sides. It can be used to establish power transfer and data communication with adjacent boxes.
Identical Preboxi boxes can be connected to each other through these communication facilities, and can be used to build a complex system by placing several boxes side by side.
The boxes can be placed side by side and secured by means of a special orderable grip which can be fixed by means of sliding screws in the groove. An unlimited number of instrument boxes can be interconnected by means of the fixing elements.
The box can be mounted in 33 and 45 degree inclined and tilted positions using the support leg supplied with the box.
